I made this statement one hot afternoon about eight years ago. My Mum was cooking this hot pot of Turkey stew.

It was boiling hot and red in the pot. I don’t know who sent me to go into the kitchen that fateful afternoon. I was like ‘Ah, this stew is already burning o’. I stirred the soup and decided to put it down from the fire. But then, my brain forgot to remind me that napkins still existed😩. That was how this little girl carried the pot of Turkey stew o and if my hands were tough like my Mummy’s own, matters would have been better. But it wasn’t. The hot handle burnt my innocent palms as if we had a long time beef😩😩. That’s how I forgot about the precious stew and threw the pot away. Ah! #3,000 stew in the trash can😩😩.

When my Mum arrived, the only thing I could say was ‘I’m sorry, I made a mistake.’ That was supposed to be our food for the afternoon, but it was gone, and wasted.

We all have made some bad choices at one point or the other in our lives. Some more critical than a pot of Turkey stew, some not as bad, however it’s not the weight of the mistake that affects us, it’s the effect it has on our hearts.
Many have issues letting go of the past. It’s worse forgetting a terrible situation when you were the cause of the whole problem. It’s terribly hard. I want to show you the essence of forgetting mistakes we made in the past.
The painful part of mistakes is sometimes, they are hard to forget. So we carry burdens from our past, wish we never did what we did and beat ourselves everytime we remember them. We begin to have regrets. No one has ever been able to reverse time by regretting.

I will like you understand something about mistakes. Mistakes are wrong actions that we make. In life, you only have the opportunity to do not to undo. I know you really wish it was possible to reverse that day when that terrible incident happened and stop yourself from doing what you did, but God didn’t give us the power to reverse time. And God knows best. If he didn’t give us the power to reverse time, it’s because that’s not the best solution to our problems. Guess what, all things work together for the good of them that love God! That mistake you made is a perfect provision for a miracle to come into your life. In the world of positivity, problems are not seen as problems, they are seen as opportunities for elevation.

If reversing time isn’t the solution to mistakes what then is the solution? When you make a mistake, there are two things you have to do.
ONE…

The solutions are contained in part 2 of this article which I will post tomorrow.
Do comment in the comment section below and let me know what mistakes you have made in the past that you’re struggling to get over. I will definitely reply every comment and probably talk about it in the next post.
Stay peaceful. You are loved, you are wanted, you are forgiven. Romans 8:1

Good morning Miss Ruth, its been a pleasure reading the article. And it especially blessed me, I even took some screen shot that last picture did something in me. God bless you for the post, hoping to see more in the future. Cheers.
Another thing I really love is the pictures you use at every juncture, I’m a picture person that is, pictures speak to me and stay with me more than words and I really appreciate the fact that you took the time to add them. God bless you!

Hello Peter! I am so elated to hear from you!🤗 Yes, it’s hard to forget mistakes. Very true😥. That’s why we need Love. We need to know the true meaning of love and we can only know this by having God. God is love. 1 Cor 13:5 says ‘…Love keeps no record of wrong’ (NLT). God forgives us and forgets like we never did it. When we spend time with God, we will learn to love like he does and even when we remember these mistakes, they will bring us no pain, instead it will be a testimony of how we have grown and and learnt from our wrong actions. And remember, it’s a gradual process.
I hope this was helpful☺️. I’ll be talking more on this in the next post. Don’t forget to subscribe so you can get a notification when it drops. You’re loved!
